The Space

My one bedroom studio is the perfect place for anyone looking for a hotel alternative that is centrally located. The apartment is conveniently just minutes from the Loop and would be all privately yours for the duration of your stay.

My little abode comes fully furnished with bookcases (which are home to some great reading materials), a couch (which is a futon and can double as a bed), a desk, a full-sized, super comfy bed and a thinking chair.

The apartment is located on Dearborn Street, technically in the Gold Coast area, but slightly meandering on the edge of Old Town. The neighborhood is SAFE, QUIET and BEAUTIFUL!

– 5 minute walk to North Avenue beach & Lincoln Park
– 5 minute walk to CTA Red Line trains (the ride into the Loop is approx. 8 minutes)
– Around the corner from Clark, Broadway, North, Armitage, and Lake Shore CTA buses
– 15 minute walk to CTA Brown line trains
– 20 minute bus ride to Wicker Park
– A few blocks away from the Magnificent Mile shopping area

The apartment is located on the top floor, so you won’t be hearing any tap-dancing above your head! There is an elevator in the building, the neighbors are great and the space is clean.

PARKING: Let me know if you are coming in by car and I will provide you with daily street parking permits free of charge.

Guest Access

Guests have access to everything within the apartment. My house is your house and everything here is for your use! Accommodations included are: high speed wireless internet, electric utilities (heating/cooling/stove), in-building laundry units, use of general home essentials (dining/cooking wares, etc), fresh bedding and towels, toiletries, and basic cable. If you want to read some of the books I have or put on one of the records, feel free to do so!

Interaction with Guests

I try to meet as many of my guests as I possibly can during check-in or check-out. Sometimes scheduling can be hectic, so if I’m unable to meet guests I give them thorough instructions for arrival or departure. I always make sure my guests arrive safely! There is a handy list at the apartment with little instructions and details on where to find things, wifi info, grocery store locations, and even some personal recommendations around the city. I’m also always available to give any tips during a guest’s stay if need be. I appreciate hearing all suggestions on how I can make a guest’s stay even better.

The Neighborhood

My neighborhood is in a central location, which is something to truly love. The apartment is in walking distance of the lake, the park, the Loop, and is surrounded by wonderful shops, restaurants, museums and entertainment venues.

Getting around

If your dogs are barking, you can always opt to take one of the many buses or trains surrounding my apartment. The Red Line train runs 24/7 and is 5 minutes walking distance of the apartment. Or, you can catch nearby buses which can take you in any direction throughout the city.
